At Naturaliste Charters, we take pride in our team’s dedication to showcasing the beauty of Western Australia’s marine life.
Every team member brings their unique skills, passion, and love for the ocean, ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable experience.
Meet the Skippers of Naturaliste Charters: Paul Cross and Craig Cotterill
Paul Cross, our owner and senior skipper, has dedicated years to exploring Western Australia’s stunning waters.
Moreover, his focus on conservation and education transforms every tour into an insightful adventure filled with fascinating marine knowledge.
By his side is Skipper Craig Cotterill, whose expert navigation and warm hospitality ensure your trip is both safe and memorable.
Together, Paul and Craig inspire a deeper appreciation for marine life, sharing their extensive experience and stories with everyone on board.
Marine Biologists: Jade Cantrall and Jennah Tucker
Our marine biologists, Jade and Jennah, bring marine science to life on every tour.
For example, Jade, a James Cook University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, combines her academic knowledge with a passion for up-close whale encounters.
Likewise, Jennah offers a wealth of experience in marine science, providing unique insights into the behaviours of various marine species.
Both are always ready to answer your questions, share fun facts, and educate guests on the importance of marine conservation.
Deckhands and Naturalists: Kyle, Luke, Jade, Jennah and Mark “Jacko” Jackman
Our deckhands are more than just crew—they’re passionate naturalists who make every trip enjoyable and informative.
For instance, Kyle has over a decade of experience in marine tourism. Known for his friendly Aussie humour, he enriches tours with his extensive knowledge of marine life.
Similarly, Luke began his career through our work experience program, bringing an adventurous spirit and infectious enthusiasm to every outing.
Meanwhile, Jacko, a talented videographer and conservationist, captures breathtaking moments from our tours, adding a creative touch to the experience.
Behind the Scenes: Alison, Nakita, Helena, and Emma
Our team in the Dunsborough Booking Office ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
For instance, Alison, co-owner and accounts manager, is a pivotal part of the team. Our iconic 23-metre catamaran, the Alison Maree, is named in her honour.
Additionally, Nakita, the dynamic office manager, coordinates scheduling, guest inquiries, and day-to-day operations to perfection.
Helena, our content creator and bookings coordinator, shares the beauty of our marine encounters across our digital platforms while ensuring all bookings are handled seamlessly.
Finally, Emma, the newest team member, shines in customer service and social media. Her engaging updates on Facebook and Instagram keep guests excited and informed about upcoming tours.
Who Does The Amazing Photographs For Our Blogs And Videos For Our Socials?
On every Killer Whale Tour in Bremer Bay, a professional photographer joins us to capture incredible photos.
In fact, some of these photographers, including Keith Lightbody, Machi Yoshida, Sarah Hysazu, Jodie Lowe, and Stephen Rink, are renowned both in Australia and internationally.
As a result, their stunning photos are shared with our passengers, usually the day after their tour.
Similarly, our Dunsborough and Augusta whale watching tours are also photographed, usually by onboard crew, and these images are shared daily on Facebook.
Additionally, our videographers, Mark Jackman and Blair Ranford, do an incredible job capturing and editing awe-inspiring footage.
