Over 50 BLUE whales this season ALREADY!

Yesterday marked the 52-54th confirmed BLUE WHALE sighing in the bay for this season alone! 2016 was one of our best years for blues in Geographe Bay with just over 250 individuals documented in the bay over a single season! The majority of our blues are spotted in November so the 2018 season really is starting off with a BLUE BANG! Its all happening in Dunsborough for the blues, from the long-term whale monitoring research at Point Piquet with Chris Burton from Western Whale Research (WWR)https://souwest.org/research/western-whale-research/ to Cinematography by Jon Shaw and his crew aboard Telasea! We all work together closely to maximise the area we observe in order to accurately identify as many individuals as we can! Whale watching in Busselton, Geographe Bay is definitely one of the most affordable and accessible places to encounter the blue whales whilst also observing a diverse range of other marine mega-fauna all within a 2 hour tour! We can’t guarantee Blue whales on every tour but our crew are dedicated and experienced whale spotters who are always on the look out! We had the most blue sightings over one day yesterday with TWO blues sighted on EACH of our tours! We hope this is just the start for these magnificent marine giants! KEEP POSTED by subscribing to our mailing list to stay up to date with the daily whale sighing information!
