BLUE WHALE GETS EATEN PART 1

BLUE WHALE GETS EATEN PART 1

WARNING: CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES

Speechless. To sum up today with one word, it would be speechless.

This is part one in a two part blog series, the teaser to the main blog.

The LARGEST ANIMAL on the planet is no match for the APEX PREDATORS as we were witness to today.

A juvenile blue whale of 15-18 metres in length was hunted, and eaten by the orcas of the Bremer Canyon. From start to finish we witnessed a lonngggg search, quick kill and then looooonng feeding. We could not and still cannot believe that this is now our SECOND, yes that’s right, SECOND Blue Whale predation that we have ever witnessed! That takes the total -AUSTRALIA WIDE- blue whale predation count up to two… yes both have been here in the canyon, and both just a fortnight apart!

What started as an already unbelievable day with nearing a thousand cetaceans all surging in the same direction ending in the most epic take down by the most fearsome and precise Orca!

Stay tuned for the full blog write-up and more photos and videos to be uploaded tomorrow.
